WartaGate.com - Fans of the Korean drama Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, also known as Goblin, will finally be invited to relive nostalgic memories through a special program prepared by tvN.
The program, titled Guardian: The Lonely and Great God 10th Anniversary Trip, was created to celebrate a decade since the legendary drama first aired in 2016.
This reunion special brings back the main cast members, including Gong Yoo, Kim Go Eun, Lee Dong Wook, and Yoo In Na. They travel together to Gangneung, one of the most memorable filming locations from the drama.
During the trip, the cast revisits several places that once served as the backdrop for iconic scenes. Besides enjoying the nostalgic atmosphere, they also share behind-the-scenes stories and recall memorable moments from the drama’s production.
The first teaser released by tvN immediately caught the attention of fans. The video shows a warm atmosphere as the cast reunites after nearly 10 years. They are seen enjoying the scenic beaches of Gangneung while reminiscing about emotional scenes that once moved viewers deeply.
In the teaser clip, Gong Yoo invites his co-stars to enjoy the reunion moment together. Meanwhile, Kim Go Eun appears excited to return to a location that played an important role in her career journey.
Lee Dong Wook also admitted that he could hardly believe how quickly time had passed since Goblin aired. Yoo In Na shared a similar feeling, expressing surprise that many places at the filming site still look the same as they did years ago.
One of the most touching moments in the teaser occurs when the cast revisits the Jumunjin Breakwater. The location is famously known as the setting of the first meeting between Kim Shin and Ji Eun Tak, one of the most iconic scenes in the drama.
The nostalgic atmosphere becomes even stronger with the return of the theme song Beautiful playing in the teaser. Several signature symbols from the drama, such as the red scarf and buckwheat flowers, also appear, making fans feel as though they have been transported back to Goblin’s golden era.
The special program is scheduled to air on July 4, 2026, at 9:20 PM KST. In addition to celebrating the 10th anniversary of Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, the event will also be part of the 20th anniversary celebration of tvN.
For reference, the drama, written by Kim Eun Sook and directed by Lee Eung Bok, made history as one of the highest-rated Korean cable television dramas. Even today, Goblin is still often regarded as one of the best Korean dramas thanks to its emotional storyline, stunning cinematography, popular soundtrack, and strong chemistry among the cast members.
The production team hopes this reunion program will revive old memories for viewers who grew up with the story of Kim Shin and Ji Eun Tak. They also assured fans that the cast’s chemistry remains just as warm as when the drama first aired.
