Bae Suzy and Lee Jin-uk Reunite Hearts in New Romance Film '7 am Breakfast Meeting for the Heartbroken

Wartagate.com - South Korean actress Bae Suzy will soon appear in a new romantic film titled "7 am Breakfast Meeting for the Heartbroken", where she stars opposite actor Lee Jin-uk. According to a report by KBS cited by Soompi on April 7, the filming of the movie has officially wrapped.
The film is directed by Lim Sun-ae and is based on a novel of the same name by author Baek Young-ok, published in 2012.
It tells the story of individuals who gather at early morning breakfast meetings to share their personal stories of heartbreak and emotional recovery.
Through these gatherings, they explore the theme of separation, healing, and the complexities of love.
Suzy plays a character named Sa-gang, a woman dealing with love and heartbreak in her relationship with Jung-soo, a pilot portrayed by actor Yoo Ji-tae.
Reflecting on the production, Suzy expressed her gratitude for the chance to work on the film.
“Working together with a great director and talented co-stars was a truly joyful experience,” she shared.
“It feels surreal to see the novel I once enjoyed reading transform into a film. I sincerely hope the audience will feel the same warmth I felt while portraying Sa-gang,” she added.
Lee Jin-uk takes on the role of Ji-hoon, a professional consultant involved in a long-term relationship with Hyun-jung, played by Geum Sae-rok. Sharing his thoughts about the film, Lee said, “While playing Ji-hoon, I tried to express a wide range of emotions that come with separation, and I hope the audience can sense the warmth and empathy that this film brings.”
He also added, “I feel happy that we’ve completed filming safely, although I also feel a bit sad now that it’s over. Working alongside such amazing actors gave me a lot of positive energy.”
Director Lim Sun-ae also commented on the successful end of filming and expressed her appreciation to everyone involved.
She said, “We will continue to work hard during post-production to deliver an outstanding project to viewers who are looking forward to this film.”
7 am Breakfast Meeting for the Heartbroken is expected to premiere in theaters in the second half of 2025. With a compelling storyline, a strong cast, and heartfelt performances, the film promises to touch the hearts of many and offer a sincere portrayal of love, loss, and recovery.
