Wartagate.com - British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran made a surprise appearance in the New York City subway as part of a segment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Known for its creative and unexpected performances, the show featured Sheeran joining host Jimmy Fallon in a public pop-up concert that took many commuters by surprise.

In true undercover style, both Ed and Fallon disguised themselves in early 2000s emo fashion black straight wigs, hoodies, and dark sunglasses.

With this amusing look, they blended into the crowd before bursting into a live performance of some of Ed’s most popular songs, catching the attention of curious passersby.

The subway performance comes shortly after the release of Ed Sheeran’s new single titled “Azizam.” During an interview on Fallon’s show last week, Sheeran revealed the meaning behind the title, saying that it is a Persian word that translates to “my darling.”

Beyond the single, Ed confirmed that he’s working on a new album titled Play, a project rooted in an idea he had when he was 18 — to release ten concept albums throughout his career.

Having completed his five-part Mathematics series, he now plans to continue with the next phase, consisting of albums called Play, Pause, Rewind, Fast-Forward, and Stop.

At 34, Sheeran shows no signs of slowing down, continuing to push creative boundaries while maintaining a strong connection with fans even if it means going underground to do it.
