Chris Brown Arrested in UK Over 2023 Assault Incident

Wartagate.com - American singer and rapper Chris Brown was arrested in Manchester, UK, on Thursday, May 15, in connection with an assault incident that occurred at a nightclub in London in February 2023. 

Brown was detained at a five-star hotel in Salford, Greater Manchester, after flying to the UK for a concert tour.

According to the Metropolitan Police, Brown was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. 

The incident allegedly took place at a venue in Hanover Square on February 19, 2023, where Brown is accused of hitting a man's head with a tequila bottle, causing serious injuries.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorized the Metropolitan Police to charge Brown with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. 

Brown is scheduled to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court on Friday, May 16.

This is not the first time Brown has faced allegations of violence. In 2009, he was involved in a high-profile case of domestic violence against his then-girlfriend Rihanna.

 Despite his history of violent behavior, Brown remains a popular artist, with his upcoming US tour tickets nearly sold out.

Brown's tour, Breezy Bowl XX, is set to kick off in the Netherlands on June 8, 2025, and will also feature performances in the UK and the US. 

The arrest may impact his upcoming shows, but for now, his fans remain loyal, and his music continues to attract a large following.
