WartaGate.com – The South Korean film industry is once again bringing exciting news. Three top actors, Park Bo Gum, Joo Won, and Lee Sun Bin have been confirmed to star together in an upcoming feature film titled The Sword: A Legend of the Red Wolf.

This historical action film is set during the Joseon Dynasty and promises a story filled with conflict and tension.

The film tells the story of a major rebellion involving two factions with opposing goals. On one side are those determined to maintain power, while on the other emerges a group seeking to overthrow it in order to build a new world order. The clash of ideologies and interests forms the core of the story, shrouded in intrigue and fierce battles.

Park Bo Gum has been cast as the main character, portraying a charismatic rebel leader. While captivating in the eyes of his followers, the character harbors deep wounds and a dark past that is gradually revealed throughout the story. This role also marks Park Bo Gum’s return to historical feature films after focusing on other projects for quite some time

In a departure from his usual roles, Joo Won will appear as the antagonist. He plays a cold and ruthless royal general. With his authority and military prowess, this character poses a major threat to the rebels and will stop at nothing to crush the resistance.

Meanwhile, Lee Sun Bin portrays a mysterious sharpshooter whose role is crucial to the unfolding conflict. Though a woman of few words, her presence is said to be one of the key factors determining the direction of the story.

In addition to the three main actors, the production team has also enlisted several veteran actors. However, their identities are still being kept under wraps and will be announced gradually.

Filming for The Sword: A Legend of the Red Wolf is scheduled to begin in February 2026, with a theatrical release targeted for 2027.
