Knee Injury at First Concert, Eric THE BOYZ Undergoes Intensive Treatment

WartaGate.com - Member of K-pop idol group THE BOYZ, Eric Sohn, was reported to have suffered a knee injury while performing at the opening concert titled INTER-ZECTION held in Seoul on Friday, April 24, 2026.

The incident occurred in the middle of the performance. Although he managed to complete the show with the other members, Eric was known to have received medical attention immediately after the event officially ended.

The concert organizer, The Bright World, later released an official statement regarding Eric’s condition on Saturday, April 25, 2026. In their statement, they explained that an initial examination was carried out promptly to determine the severity of the injury suffered by the idol.

After experiencing knee pain following the first night of the concert, Eric underwent further examination using MRI. The results revealed damage to the cartilage as well as a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.

An ACL injury is considered a condition that requires serious attention, especially for an idol whose activities involve intense physical movements such as dancing on stage.

The medical team treating Eric advised him to reduce heavy activities temporarily, including dancing, in order to speed up the recovery process. They also emphasized the importance of getting sufficient rest before returning to a busy performance schedule.

This recommendation was given to ensure that the knee condition does not worsen or lead to further injuries that could affect his long-term career.

Despite the injury, Eric reportedly showed a strong desire to continue performing in front of fans at the next concert. The decision regarding this matter was discussed thoroughly by the organizers, management, and medical team while considering his health condition.

As a solution, the organizers ultimately decided that Eric would still be able to appear, but with adjustments. He will perform while seated when delivering several songs in the upcoming show.

This step was taken to ensure that Eric’s long-term safety remains the top priority throughout the concert series.

The team at The Bright World stated that they understand the disappointment of fans who were hoping to see Eric perform fully on stage. However, they stressed that the artist’s health remains the most important factor.

They also confirmed their full support for Eric’s recovery process, so that he can return to performing with THE BOYZ in better condition.

With these adjustments, it is hoped that Eric will still be able to interact with fans without taking risks that could worsen his injury.
