Byeon Woo Seok's Agency Warns of Impersonation Scam Targeting International Fans

Wartagate.com - South Korean actor Byeon Woo Seok has fallen victim to an impersonation scam, with unauthorized parties falsely claiming to have exclusive rights to host international fan meetings and pocketing financial gains.
Varo Entertainment, Byeon's agency, has issued a statement denying any involvement with third-party organizations in hosting international fan meetings or related events. "We have not granted exclusive rights or signed contracts with third parties regarding Byeon Woo-seok's fan meetings or other related events," the agency emphasized (The Korea Times, March 25).
The agency cautioned fans to exercise extreme caution when encountering potential scams masquerading as official collaborations with their company.
"We urge special caution to avoid involvement or damage from any illegal activities falsely conducted under the guise of agreements with our company."
Byeon Woo Seok's popularity has skyrocketed since starring in the hit tvN drama "Lovely Runner," cementing his status as one of Korea's most sought-after actors.
He has since held fan meetings in major Asian cities, including Bangkok, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Taipei, further solidifying his global appeal.
Byeon is set to star alongside IU in the upcoming MBC drama "Wife of a 21st Century Prince" (tentative title). He currently endorses over 20 brands and previously topped the brand reputation rankings among advertising models.
