Wartagate.com - The first day of Coachella 2025 dazzled audiences with a jaw-dropping performance from Lady Gaga, who returned to the spotlight with an epic, theatrical set at the Polo Indio Field in California.

According to The Hollywood Reporter (Saturday, April 12), the pop icon’s performance was crafted into five dramatic acts, with titles such as “And She Fell Into A Gothic Dream” and “The Beautiful Nightmare that Knows Her Name.”

This full-length performance marked the debut of her latest album, Mayhem, on stage.

Lady Gaga’s set followed a loose storyline, appearing to depict the symbolic demise of her iconic “Mother Monster” persona, only to have her resurrect it in a powerful finale.

The show opened with a haunting rendition of “Bloody Mary,” as Gaga appeared atop a gothic-inspired structure in a tiered gown.

The stage resembled a ruined opera house, adorned with colossal statues and Roman columns, creating a surreal and ancient visual experience.

Throughout the performance, Gaga blended music with cinematic storytelling—zombie apocalypse-inspired choreography for “Thriller”-like themes, a life-sized chess battle to the rhythm of “Poker Face,” and a dramatic war parade during “Born This Way.”

The show played out like a live-action musical, with every detail meticulously orchestrated for visual impact.

A masked DJ Gesaffelstein made a surprise appearance during the song “Killah,” flanked by dual keyboards, adding to the electric atmosphere.

“I decided to build an opera house in the middle of the desert,” Gaga declared to the crowd before launching into her fan-favorite, “Alejandro.”

But Gaga wasn’t the only one to bring the desert to life.

Missy Elliott captivated the crowd with a futuristic, space-themed party, thrilling fans with timeless bangers like “Work It” and “Lose Control,” proving her enduring influence in the music scene.

Meanwhile, LISA of BLACKPINK made a bold solo statement at the Sahara Tent with her debut live performance of “Lifestyle,” exuding confidence and energy.

She also shouted out her latest role as “Mook” in HBO’s The White Lotus, earning cheers from fans celebrating her rise as both a musician and actress.

Adding a surprise element to the night, Queen guitarist Brian May took the stage alongside a gospel choir to perform the legendary “Bohemian Rhapsody” with rising star Benson Boone.

Together, they also delivered Boone’s hit track “Beautiful Things,” blending classic rock with modern pop.

With a mix of iconic veterans and fresh new talent, Coachella 2025’s opening night set an incredibly high bar—proving once again why the festival remains one of the world’s premier stages for live music spectacle.
