Wartagate.com - The ongoing legal conflict between K-pop girl group NewJeans and their agency, ADOR, continues to make headlines.

The latest development revolves around rumors suggesting discord among the members’ parents, particularly concerning Haerin’s family.

According to a report by Korea JoongAng Daily on Saturday (April 5, 2025), speculation has surfaced since last month that Haerin’s mother is opposed to the legal battle against ADOR.

Allegedly, she refrained from signing any legal documents as Haerin’s guardian throughout the case.

It was claimed that only Haerin’s father had been acting as her representative in the lawsuit, while other members had both parents involved.

As Haerin was born in May 2006, she is still legally a minor. Any decision regarding her participation in the lawsuit must therefore be supported by her parent or guardian.

However, these claims have been firmly denied in an official joint statement from the parents of NewJeans members.

“Some media outlets have reported that ‘the parents of the members are divided,’ but that is not true,” the parents declared in a written statement.

They emphasized that nothing would have proceeded without full consensus among those directly involved.

According to a follow-up from Allkpop, they added, “That assumption is completely untrue. Haerin and her family are fully aligned, and the rumors about their personal matters are also false.”

Furthermore, they clarified that all five members stand united in their stance toward both ADOR and its parent company, HYBE.

“All five members are very clear in their position that they cannot return to HYBE,” the statement reads.

They concluded with a reassurance of solidarity, saying, “This is a decision they made after discussing it with their parents. We promised not to take any legal action unless it was a unanimous decision, so the members trust one another.”

As the legal saga continues, the unity among NewJeans members and their families becomes a central point in defending their collective position against their former management.
