Wartagate.com - May 5th marks Children's Day in Korea, and several prominent celebrities, including IU, Jin BTS, Kim Go-eun, Park Bo-young, and Zo In-sung, celebrated the occasion by giving back to the community.

IU, through her fan club IUAENA, donated a total of 150 million won (approximately $112,000 USD) to various organizations, including Eden I Ville, Desa Hansarang, and Pusat Perawatan Bayi Hansarang.

The funds will support independent teenagers, provide gifts for Children's Day, and create special spaces for children's growth.

Jin BTS also made a significant contribution, donating 100 million won (approximately $75,000 USD) to Seoul Asan Medical Center, a children's hospital in Seoul.

"My heart always aches when I see children struggling with illnesses. I hope this donation, though small, will help them recover soon and run around happily again," he said.

The hospital plans to use the funds to improve medical services and the overall environment for pediatric patients.

Meanwhile, actress Kim Go-eun marked her fifth consecutive year of donating to Seoul National University Children's Hospital, contributing 50 million won (approximately $37,500 USD) to support the hospital's initiatives.

Park Bo-young continued her tradition of giving back by donating 20 million won (approximately $15,000 USD) to ChildFund Korea.

The funds will help improve the care environment at Seoul Metropolitan Children's Hospital. Notably, Park Bo-young has been volunteering at the hospital for over a decade.

Actor Zo In-sung also celebrated Children's Day by giving gifts to children at an orphanage in Gangdong-gu, Seoul.

In addition to providing gifts, In-sung has been supporting the orphanage by covering the cost of snacks for the children every month.

Since 2020, he has consistently helped cover medical expenses for children with rare diseases. Last year, he even hosted a VIP premiere of the film "Smugglers" for over 30 guests, including children from orphanages and teenagers with rare diseases, along with their families and social workers.

These heartwarming acts of kindness demonstrate the commitment of these Korean stars to giving back to their community and making a positive impact on the lives of children in need.
