Lee Sung Kyung Receives Offer to Star in Mystery Drama Swan Laundry

WartaGate.com – South Korean actress Lee Sung Kyung has once again come under the spotlight after being reported to have received an offer to star in a new Korean drama titled Swan Laundry (working title).

The drama is said to carry a mystery genre with a unique slice-of-life touch. The news was first reported by SPOTV News on Wednesday (February 4), stating that Lee Sung Kyung is currently being considered for the female lead role.

In response to the reports, Fantagio, the agency representing Lee Sung Kyung, confirmed that she has indeed received the offer. The agency explained that Swan Laundry is one of the projects currently under review by the actress. This means there has been no final decision yet on whether she will accept the role.

Swan Laundry is adapted from a novel written by Lee Jae In. The story centers on Bae Eun Jo, a woman who is both the owner and daughter of a long-established family laundry business in the city of Yeosu. However, Bae Eun Jo’s life is not as simple as running a laundry business.

Behind her daily work, she frequently becomes involved in requests to solve mysterious incidents occurring around her. These fragments of everyday life intertwined with mystery cases form the core of the drama’s storyline.

As of now, the production team has not announced an official broadcast schedule for Swan Laundry. In addition, there is no information yet regarding other actors or actresses who may have received offers to join the project.

While awaiting further confirmation about the drama, Lee Sung Kyung is preparing to greet viewers through her upcoming drama In Your Radiant Season, which is scheduled to premiere on February 20. In the series, she will star alongside actor Chae Jong Hyeop.

In Your Radiant Season tells the story of the meeting between Sunwoo Chan, a cheerful animator who carries wounds and trauma from his past, and Song Ha Ran, a cold and reserved designer. Their encounter gradually changes both of their lives, allowing them to heal the emotional scars they have long kept hidden.

With several exciting projects on the horizon, fans are eagerly hoping that Lee Sung Kyung will once again showcase her charm, both through In Your Radiant Season and her potential involvement in Swan Laundry.
