Yuri’s blood is believed to possess special powers that can be used to curse the kingdom’s princes. Queen Nakia plans to exploit Yuri so that her own son can become the sole heir to the throne. However, Yuri repeatedly escapes various traps and palace intrigues.

As the story unfolds, Yuri is believed to be the reincarnation of the goddess Ishtar and begins to display extraordinary powers. In her struggle to survive amid the kingdom’s political conflicts, Yuri also develops a romantic relationship with the Hittite Empire’s third prince, Kail.

This combination of romance, fantasy, and political intrigue is what has kept Red River appealing to readers to this day. It is no surprise that fans are eagerly awaiting how Yuri and Kail’s adventure will be brought to life in anime form in 2026.
