Study Group Season 2 Officially Enters Production, Hwang Min Hyun and Shin Soo Hyun Return

WartaGate.com – Good news comes for fans of school-action Korean dramas. After the strong success of its first season, Study Group has been confirmed to continue with a second season.

Streaming platform TVING has officially announced that Study Group Season 2 has now entered the production stage.

The upcoming season will once again feature several main cast members who have won the hearts of viewers. One of the confirmed returning actors is Shin Soo Hyun.

The actress will reprise her role as Lee Ji Woo, a brave student known for standing up against injustice at school. The news was confirmed directly by her agency, Management Run.

In addition to Shin Soo Hyun, Hwang Min Hyun has also previously confirmed his participation in Study Group Season 2.

He will return as Yoon Ga Min, a student with a strong desire to excel academically despite being known for his exceptional fighting skills.

This second season also marks Hwang Min Hyun’s comeback project following the completion of his mandatory military service in December 2025.

For now, these two names are the only cast members officially announced to be joining the second season.

Their return has significantly boosted fans’ excitement, considering the strong chemistry and iconic characters they portrayed in the previous season.

In terms of story, Study Group Season 2 is expected to present conflicts on a much larger scale.

Ga Min’s study group will not only face internal school problems but also broader and more dangerous threats that could potentially affect students nationwide.

This suggests that the action and drama will be more intense than in the first season.

Although production is already underway, TVING has yet to announce an official release date. However, Study Group Season 2 is currently expected to premiere in 2027.
