According to Korean media reports, the funeral hall has been set up at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital Funeral Hall. The funeral procession is scheduled to take place on May 19, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. local time.

After the ceremony, his body will be cremated at Byeokje City Crematorium in Seoul before being laid to rest at Donghwa Memorial Park.

Kim Young Ok, along with their children and grandchildren, has been listed as the chief mourner accompanying the final farewell process.

The love story between Kim Young Ok and Kim Young Gil lasted for decades. The couple married in 1960 and built a harmonious family life together for many years. They were blessed with one son and two daughters.

In his younger days, Kim Young Gil was known for his handsome appearance and worked as a broadcaster at KBS. He first met Kim Young Ok while they were attending Chungang University.

Their relationship grew closer when they worked together at Chuncheon Broadcasting Station in 1959.
