Netflix Announces Continuation of the Money Heist Universe, New Project Remains a Mystery

WartaGate.com - Netflix has once again sparked curiosity among fans after announcing the continuation of the Money Heist universe through a new project that is still being kept secret.

The announcement was shared through a short video teasing that the story of the popular franchise is far from over.

In the one-minute video, the phrase “the revolution isn’t over yet” appeared, immediately triggering speculation among fans who have been waiting for the next chapter of Money Heist.

Although Netflix has released a teaser, the streaming platform still has not revealed details about the upcoming project. It remains unclear whether they are preparing Money Heist Season 6, a brand-new spin-off series, or a continuation of Berlin.

The announcement arrived just ahead of the release of Berlin Season 2, which is scheduled to premiere on May 15, 2026. The series serves as a prequel spin-off to Money Heist and focuses on the character Berlin, also known as Andrés de Fonollosa, portrayed by Pedro Alonso.

In the second season, Berlin’s heist operation will move from Paris to Spain with a new target called the Duke of Málaga. Several returning cast members have also been confirmed, including Michelle Jenner as Keila and Tristán Ulloa as Damián.

In the description of the announcement video, the production team stated that La Casa de Papel, also known as Money Heist, has continued to evolve since it first premiered. According to them, the series is no longer just a story about robbing money, but has grown into a massive franchise with endless storytelling possibilities.

Money Heist originally premiered in 2017 on Spanish television before eventually being released globally by Netflix. Its popularity continued to rise, leading to five successful seasons and the creation of iconic characters, including The Professor, played by Álvaro Morte.

As of now, Netflix is still keeping details about the newest project in the Money Heist universe under wraps. However, the short teaser alone has already excited fans and fueled speculation about what surprises may come next.
